Security forces killed 10 militants in two separate operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's South Waziristan and Lower Dir districts, according to the military's media wing.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Dir.

According to the ISPR, militants attempted to attack security check posts in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan. Security forces responded promptly, foiling the assault. Eight militants were killed during the exchange of fire.

The ISPR added that two more militants were killed in a separate operation in Dir district.

The statement said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. It added that the militants had been involved in various terrorist activities and that security forces would continue operations until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.

The ISPR also recalled that security forces had conducted two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan's Washuk and Mastung districts a day earlier, killing 12 militants.

According to the military's media wing, the operations were carried out on August 5 and 6 under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad-3, targeting militant elements.

The statement said six militants were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Washuk on August 5, while another six were killed in a separate operation in Mastung on August 6.
