The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a preliminary report detailing the human and material losses caused by ongoing monsoon rains across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the report, flash floods have claimed 11 lives and left six others injured. Among the deceased are four men, three women, and four children. Swat district has been identified as the worst affected area.
The PDMA report further states that a total of 56 houses have been damaged across the province, including six that were completely destroyed and 50 that suffered partial damage.

In the last 24 hours, a flooding situation was reported in the Swat River near Khwazakhela, prompting heightened concern from local authorities.
In anticipation of further flooding, the PDMA has issued alerts to the district administrations of Nowshera and Charsadda.
The agency has directed local officials to ensure all necessary precautionary measures are taken in advance to deal with potential emergencies or flood situations.
