According to initial reports, a suspected suicide attack took place at the Aman Mela Check Post in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan when an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the checkpoint. The explosion killed 11 people and injured 30 others.

According to Rescue 1122, its Darazinda station team immediately reached the site after receiving information about the blast and launched rescue operations.

Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Arif Khan said 30 injured people have so far been provided medical assistance and shifted to hospitals, while the bodies of 11 deceased people have also been recovered from the scene.

Following the blast, additional police personnel have also been dispatched from Dera Ismail Khan to the site, while rescue teams continue relief and rescue operations.
