KHYBER AGENCY, April 24: Twelve militants were killed as jetfighters bombed several areas in Khyber Agency early on Thursday.
Military sources said the strikes left 12 militants dead and more than 15 injured.
They said the operation had been carried out in various areas of Jamrud and Bara tehsils, including Spera dam, Tora Darra, Sraa Vela, and Ochay Oney villages of Tirah valley.
Besides Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Khyber Agency is home to several tribal militias, including Lashkar-e-Islam and Amr Bil Maroof. The Lashkar-e-Islam has been banned recently and its chief Mangal Bagh has reportedly left for Afghanistan.
