In a series of clashes between security forces and terrorists in North and South Waziristan, 12 terrorists were killed, while 6 brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR reported that two separate incidents occurred involving the terrorists and security forces. On September 19, a suspicious movement of seven terrorists was detected near the Pak-Afghan border, as they attempted to infiltrate Pakistan. The security forces identified and surrounded the terrorists in Spinwam, North Waziristan, effectively neutralizing all seven militants.

In another incident, a group of terrorists launched an attack on a security checkpoint in Ladha, South Waziristan. The forces retaliated strongly, killing five terrorists in the intense exchange of fire. However, six soldiers heroically lost their lives in the line of duty.

The forces recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from the slain terrorists. A clearance operation is ongoing to ensure that the area is free from any remaining militants.

The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan's security forces are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country. The sacrifices of these brave soldiers strengthen their resolve to fight against terrorism and bring peace to the region.
