NOWSHERA: A 22-year-old woman was stabbed and critically injured in Nandarak village within the jurisdiction of Misri Banda police station in Nowshera district on Thursday, said the police.

Misri Banda police said the media the accused identified as Mehboob was asking the victim, Aysha, to left her home with him but when she refused, he tried to kidnap her. However, Ayesha resisted leaving her father’s home with him due to which Mehboob along with three accomplices allegedly resorted to violence and hit her repeatedly with sharp knives.

The accused after committing the horrible crime escaped from the crime spot leaving Aysha in critical conditions. Police said that Ayesha was shifted to district headquarters hospital in Nowshera where doctors said that she is in critical very condition. Doctors after examined her said that the accused have also cut off her tongue due to which she was unable to talk and record her statement.

However, police told the media, the 22-year-old victim has identified the accused by writing their names to the police. Thus police have registered the case against Mehboob Inzamam and three other persons on the identification of the victim and started further investigation into the case.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Misri Banda police station told the media that they have started the search for the arrest of the accused and conducted several raids, however, the accused could not be nabbed. He expressed the hope that the accused will be arrested soon and will be presented in the court of justice.

Father of the victim Gharib son of Zamin Khan told the media that he is a poor person and has nothing except his honour and daughter. He told the media that the accused have committed a very horrible crime and asked the police and KP government for justice and provide exemplary punishment to the accused.
