
MARDAN, October 27: The police have foiled a smuggling attempt in the area of Toru on Monday and claimed to have recovered 60kg narcotics and arrested two alleged traffickers.
The police authorities say they had received secret information regarding smuggling, and subsequently they had cordoned off the area near Toru checkpost.
During search, it took possession of about 60kg narcotics, worth approximately 5 million rupees. In addition, the police have also arrested Asghar Khan and Riaz.
The police say the accused belong to Peshawar and that they were smuggling the narcotics to the federal capital Islamabad.
