SADDA, May 27: The local administration has trained 65 lady health workers (LHWs) for immunisation of children against measles in Upper Kurram Agency.
In two-day training held in Agency Headquarter Hospital, the vaccinators were guided about precautionary measures and first-aid in the case of reaction of immunisation on the babies.
One of the training participants told TNN, “We got a very good training about the immunisation of children and we request the people to cooperate with us in the immunisation campaign, so that no baby is left without vaccination.”
The trainer, Dr Hamid Hussain, told journalists that the administration had decided to start the immunisation drive all over the agency in the month of June. He said 75,000 babies would be immunised during the campaign.
