Every human being is passionate about something. Some people enjoy different types of food, while others prefer various flavors of ice cream or shakes. And then some love chocolate as much as I do.

Everyone has their hobby. It's a personal choice. But for me, my life begins and ends with chocolate. Morning, afternoon, evening—I devour chocolate with enthusiasm. At night, I eagerly wait for my father to come home and bring me chocolate. He knows I love it, so every evening, he makes sure to bring me some. I adore anything that contains chocolate, like chocolate ice cream, chocolate cookies, and more.

Now, you might be wondering why I am writing this blog about chocolate today. Or how did this idea come to me? Well, let me tell you. Two days ago, I was checking WhatsApp status updates on my phone. One of my friends posted a status about chocolate, showing her home and office drawers filled with chocolates.

It turns out, my friend probably loves chocolates as much as I do. I commented on her status and told her how much I love chocolates too. It seems like I can't go without them. She suggested that I write a blog about my hobby, chocolate. I thought, why not?

I also realized that by writing a blog about chocolate, people would learn how chocolate is made and its benefits and drawbacks. Let me first tell you how to make a simple chocolate dish and the ingredients needed.

Ingredients:

  • Plain chocolate
  • Cream
  • Custard (premade)
  • Condensed milk
  • Chocolate powder

Instructions:

  1. Take hot water in a pan. Place the chocolate in a bowl in this hot water to melt it.
  2. Add the premade custard to the melted chocolate.
  3. Mix the cream well with the condensed milk.
  4. Combine the condensed milk and cream mixture with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture. Sometimes, we can enjoy it right away.

Have you ever wondered about the benefits of chocolate? The biggest benefit is that it makes people happy. Eating chocolate triggers the release of happiness hormones, like dopamine. Chocolate also boosts energy because it contains caffeine. Additionally, it improves blood flow, allowing oxygen to reach our cells more efficiently.

Chocolate can prevent blood clotting by increasing blood flow. It's beneficial for mental health and helps reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. Chocolate also protects our skin.

However, chocolate does have some drawbacks. It can lead to weight gain due to its high fat content. Consuming too much chocolate increases calorie and sugar intake, which can harm teeth and overall health. Chocolate is high in sugar and lacks essential minerals and vitamins. Therefore, excessive consumption is not advisable.

So, while we should enjoy chocolate, it’s essential to consume it in moderation to reap its benefits without suffering its downsides.

Finally, let me remind you that every year on February 9, World Chocolate Day is celebrated.
