Two police officials in Landi Kotal, Khyber district, have been suspended with immediate effect over allegations of accepting bribes during the repatriation of Afghan refugees.
According to an official order issued by the CCPO Peshawar, SHO/ASI Ishrat Shinwari and Assistant SHO Head Constable Azmat Wali have been directed to report to Police Lines Shakas, Khyber district, following their suspension.

The order states that both officials are accused of illegally receiving money (bribes) from Afghan refugees during the repatriation process. A formal charge sheet and detailed allegations will be issued separately as part of the departmental proceedings.
The suspension took effect immediately from July 17, 2026, while further action will be carried out in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.
