ISLAMABAD: A boat carrying Pakistani migrants has capsized near the coast of Libya, marking yet another tragic incident involving Pakistanis attempting perilous sea crossings.
According to the Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson, Pakistan’s embassy in Tripoli confirmed that a boat carrying approximately 65 passengers overturned near the port of Marsa Della, northwest of the Libyan city Zawiya.
The FO statement mentioned that the Pakistani embassy had immediately dispatched a team to Zawiya Hospital to assist local authorities in identifying the deceased and gathering information on other Pakistani victims.
