PESHAWAR, November 6: Another Member National Assembly (MNA) of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Siraj Muhammad Khan, has refused to resign.

Mr Ayaz Sadiq, speaker of the National Assembly, has approved the request of Siraj Muhammad Khan by ignoring his resignation.

Mr Siraj Khan was elected from the NA-6, Nowshera. Sources in PTI say he did not go to the parliament along with other party members for verification of their resignations on 29 October.

The PTI activists say membership of Siraj Khan would be ended soon. Previously, three other PTI members had went against the policies of the party, due to which their membership had been suspended.

PTI has alleged rigging in in the general elections of May 2013. The party lawmakers have tendered resignations two months ago, but the verification of the resignations is not done yet.

The party has been protesting in the country since 14 August, asking Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharif to resign and hold re-elections.
