
BARA, September 16: Security forces claim to have killed 10 militants in Khyber Agency.
Security officials said fighter jets shelled positions of militants in Dwa Thoy, Rajgal and Tordara areas. The officials say five hideouts of militants have also been destroyed in the action.
The agency has been home to militants affiliated with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and a local tribal militia Lashkar-e-Islam. Pakistani media reports say the LI chief, Mr Mangal Bagh, has gone to Afghanistan and TTP militants have also left most of the areas of Khyber Agency after the security forces launched operation there.
