The mystery surrounding the murder of TikToker Shamsu Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gulamna, in Taxila has been solved, with police arresting five suspects, including the victim’s father and brother.
SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehboob said at a press conference that police traced the suspects with the help of footage from more than 100 CCTV cameras and human intelligence.
He said the suspects attempted to mislead the authorities by giving the incident different interpretations after the murder. However, police arrested five suspects based on evidence and investigative findings.

According to the SSP Operations, initial investigations indicate that Shamsu Bibi was allegedly killed in the name of honour. Family members reportedly disapproved of her activities on TikTok.
He said the victim’s father was the complainant in the case and had initially nominated two people. However, during the investigation, the father’s own role emerged and he is now an accused in the case. According to the police, the complainant has also confessed to the murder.
Police have also questioned the victim’s sister, who was injured in the incident. Police officials said further interrogation of the arrested suspects is underway, while other motives and complete details of the murder are being investigated.
