BAJAUR: Two people were killed in a bomb explosion near Tali Dam in the Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur district on Saturday, according to police.

DSP Jamal Shah said initial reports confirmed that two individuals lost their lives in the blast. Rescue teams, police, and other relevant authorities rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident.

Sources said the body of one victim has been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Khar, while search efforts are underway in the waters of Tali Dam to recover the second body. Rescue personnel continue to conduct a search operation.

A heavy police contingent, led by SHO Bacha Rehman, has cordoned off the area and tightened security. Authorities have launched an investigation to collect evidence and determine the nature and cause of the explosion.

The identities of the victims and further details about the incident are yet to be confirmed. Police and relevant agencies are investigating the incident from multiple angles.
