QUETTA, 22 October: At least 10 people were killed and several others sustained injuries when a suicide bomber struck an imambargah in Chalgari area of Kachhi district of Balochistan on Thursday evening, Levis officials said.
They said that the suicide bomber blew himself up during evening prayer when women worshipers were entering the imambargah. Subsequently, security forces cordoned off the site while rescue teams rushed the injured and dead to the nearby hospital. The windowpanes of the nearby buildings broke with thud of the blast.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast. Two days back, at least 11 people were killed in bomb explosion inside a bus in Quetta .
Security of the imambargah and around the routes of processions has been beefed up across Balochistan and rest of the country during the month of Muharram.
