In Bannu Subdivision, candidates for police recruitment staged a protest against the reduction in available vacancies. During the protest demonstrators blocked the road at Town Chowk (square), disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience for commuters.
The protesters expressed frustration, stating that the original 152 vacancies had been reduced to just 14. They pointed out that after the initial advertisement, they had already submitted their applications with the required fees.

One of the candidates remarked, "We are poor people, and we demand our rightful opportunities. The number of vacancies needs to be increased so that we can turn our dreams of employment into reality."
Meanwhile, negotiations between the police authorities and the protesters are ongoing, and it is hoped that the protest will soon come to an end, allowing the road to reopen for traffic.
