BANNU, April 29: A bomb disposal squad personnel was injured while defusing a bomb in Bannu district.
Head of the bomb disposal squad, Mr Wasil Khan, sustained injuries when the device he was defusing near Mirian Gate exploded prematurely.
Wasil Khan was rushed to local hospital where his condition was declared stable.
A police official said Wasil Khan was an experienced member of the squad that he had received a number of awards and commendation certificates.
