PESHAWAR: A shocking revelation has emerged in a gruesome dacoity-cum-murder case in the limits of Sarband police station, where a man allegedly killed his disabled brother during Eid-ul-Adha, only to later be arrested along with his accomplice.
Police said the victim’s brother, Muhammad Waqar, along with his partner Muhammad, has been taken into custody. The suspects allegedly broke into the house of their disabled brother, Rehan, on Eid day, and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, killing him on the spot.
Following the murder, the accused reportedly looted Rs1.686 million in cash from the house and fled the scene.

An FIR was registered at Sarband police station on the complaint of the victim’s father, Muhammad Hanif.
During investigation, police detained the victim’s brother, Waqar, who later confessed to the crime along with his accomplice.
Police also recovered the looted cash amounting to Rs1.686 million and the murder weapon from their possession.
SP Cantt Abdul Ahad Ahsan confirmed the arrests and recoveries, stating that further investigation is underway.
