Kurram: In line with the Kurram Peace Agreement, the demolition of bunkers belonging to rival factions continues across the district. Meanwhile, a second peace jirga aimed at fostering stability in the region is being held today in Peshawar.
According to the district administration, four more bunkers were demolished using explosives in the Balish Khel and Khar Kali areas of Lower Kurram today. Authorities have so far confirmed the destruction of 26 bunkers and stated that operations are ongoing.

Officials emphasized that these actions are part of the Kohat Peace Agreement's implementation, with convoy movements and other measures being introduced to provide relief to the public.
On the other hand, factions involved in the Kurram conflict are participating in a second jirga in Peshawar today to discuss ongoing peace efforts. Sources revealed that an important meeting was held between both parties in Islamabad yesterday, paving the way for today’s negotiations.
The Islamabad jirga reportedly addressed issues such as curbing the misuse of social media and maintaining law and order in the district. The second round of talks in Peshawar will focus on in-depth discussions about sustaining peace and bridging gaps between community elders from both sides.
