The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and 'Da Haq Awaz", a Welfare Organization working locally, in collaboration with District Police Khyber, have launched a campaign to rehabilitate drug addicts in District Khyber. The awareness campaign began last week and has already seen a significant response from the families of drug addicts.

On June 23, 2024, two drug addicts, Zahoor, son of Mehboob Khan from Shalobar Bara, and Shahzad, son of Irshad from Wazir Dhand Jamrud, were handed over by District Police Khyber to a team from ANF and the rehabilitation center. They were subsequently admitted to a Rehabilitation Centre run by the welfare organization,  ‘Da Haq ki Awaz.’

The Anti-Narcotics Force and District Police Khyber are diligently working to eliminate the menace of narcotics from society. In addition to eradicating drugs and apprehending drug peddlers, the campaign emphasizes the importance of rehabilitating drug addicts. The mission is to reintegrate these individuals into society, relieve their families' mental stress, and transform them into productive members of the community.

The District Police Officer of Khyber commended the efforts of ANF, the Welfare Organization, and the District Police in this initiative. He expressed hope that these efforts would help bring addicts back to normal life and urged civil society and community leaders to support and assist in this campaign.
