DIR, May 2: Certificates were distributed to male and female students upon completion of various courses at a ceremony in Madrassa Taleem-ul-Quran in Upper Dir district.

Maulana Abdul Jabbar Panjpiri, as chief guest, distributed certificates of Nazira, Tarjuma, Tajveed-ul-Quran and Hifz-ul-Quran among 25 girls and 40 boys.

The administrator of seminary “Darul Uloom Khaal”, Maulana Abdul Shakoor, said on the occasion that seminaries needed to be supported as they offer free education to underprivileged students.

He added that Muslims were facing problems because they had ignored Islamic teachings. He said people must equip their children with both religious and modern education.
