

KOHAT, August 27: The administration of Kohat district has distributed cheques worth 6.6 million rupees among the families affected by the Darra Adamkhel blast.
At a ceremony in the Commissioner House on 26 August, Kohat Deputy Commissioner Mr Amjad Ali Khan distributed 300,000 rupees each to the families of the deceased and 150,000 rupees each to the families of 24 injured people.
The blast had taken place at Firdaus Market a few months ago, killing 14 people and injuring 24 others.
One of the beneficiaries of the compensation told TNN, “We are thankful to the authorities for giving us the financial assistance, which will solve several problems that we are facing. We will always be ready to render sacrifices for our country.”
