PESHAWAR, July 11: The Peshawar High Court has given permission to the students of the closed Al-Razi Medical College to appear in the first year examination.

The registration of the Al-Razi Medical College was cancelled by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council due to poor performance a few months ago.

On 10 July, the lawyer of a student Qasir Khan told the court that the students of the college had submitted their fees before the cancellation of the college’s registration.

He requested the court to order reimbursement of fees to students while they must be allowed to appear in examination.

The court ordered the Khyber Medical College to take examinations from the students. It is pertinent to mention here

In January this year, the Peshawar High Court had ordered authorities to give admissions to 109 students of Al-Razi Medical College in second year at other medical colleges of the province. In March, all of those students got admissions in six different medical colleges.
