Crackdown on Illegal Transport Stands in Khyber's Bara Bazaar: Multiple Arrests and FIRs Lodged

In a joint operation, the district administration, Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), and police launched a crackdown on encroachments and illegal transport stands in Bara Bazaar, Khyber. Seven illegal transport stands were sealed during the operation, and various other encroachments were removed.

However, following the operation, residents broke the seals. They reopened the transport stands, prompting the administration to issue a directive through the Assistant Commissioner, instructing the police to register FIRs against the owners of these illegal stands. Legal action was requested against Shakir, Sakhi Jan, and Bagh-e-Haram.

Furthermore, 50 taxi drivers were arrested and sent to jail for picking up passengers on the roadside at Khyber Chowk. The administration emphasized that the crackdown against encroachments and illegal transport stands in Bara Bazaar will continue without discrimination, ensuring the removal of all unlawful elements to provide better facilities to the public.
