CTD Officer Killed, 16 Murdered in Few Hours in Peshawar

Bannu: In a tragic incident, CTD officer Zubair Khan was shot and killed by unknown assailants within the limits of Cantt police station. The funeral prayer was conducted with full official honors at Iqbal Police Line. The police force paid tribute to their fallen comrade.

DIG Bannu, Imran Shahid, honored the slain officer, stating, "Young men like Zubair Khan are our pride; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has always fought terrorists on the front line." Sources indicate that the attackers fled the scene.

Massacre Over Property Dispute in Badaber

A property dispute in the suburbs of Badaber escalated into a horrific shooting inside a house, resulting in the deaths of nine family members, including five children and four women. The police have registered a case based on a complaint by the son of one of the deceased women. The FIR names seven suspects, charging them with murder and attempted murder. The victims have been buried after their funeral prayers.

Chief Minister Takes Notice

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has taken notice of the massacre in Badaber. He has directed the police to expedite the arrest of those responsible. Expressing deep sorrow, the Chief Minister condemned the act, stating, "Targeting children and women is a reprehensible and cruel act. Those involved will be arrested and punished according to the law."

Other Violent Incidents in Peshawar

  • Land Dispute in Badaber: A land dispute led to an exchange of gunfire, resulting in one death and two injuries.
  • Vehicle Shooting in Pishtakhara: A longstanding enmity resulted in a vehicle being fired upon, killing two individuals.
  • Water Dispute in Sheikh Muhammadi: An argument over water access to fields led to a shooting, killing one person and injuring another.
  • Bodies of Missing Children Recovered in Regi Llama: The bodies of three missing children were found in a rainwater drain. The children had been reported missing the previous day.
  • Shooting in Sufaid Dheri: A firefight over unspecified reasons resulted in three injuries.

Police have registered cases in all incidents and have begun investigations.
