A tragic traffic accident occurred in Mohmand tribal district, where a Toyota Fielder car traveling from Tehsil Ambar (Lower Mohmand) to Yaka Ghund fell into a deep ravine at the Karpa Dhund area while negotiating a dangerous turn. As a result of the accident, six people lost their lives and one person was injured.

According to rescue sources, the accident took place on Friday on the Mohmand–Peshawar highway. 

Three people died on the spot, while three critically injured individuals later succumbed to their injuries after being shifted to the hospital.

Rescue Mohmand teams reached the scene immediately after receiving information and shifted the injured to the hospital in critical condition after providing first aid.

Those who died in the accident include Wazir Khan son of Karimullah, Zardol son of Yar Khan, Zahir Gul son of Momine Khan, Mir Alam, Ghulam Saeed son of Bakht Muhammad, and Noor-ul-Bashar son of Jan Khan. All belonged to different areas of Tehsil Ambar. 

The injured person, Gul Badshah son of Mehran Gul, is currently under treatment in the hospital.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Headquarters Hospital Ghalanai for necessary legal procedures. 

According to local residents, the Dhund turn is extremely dangerous, and several accidents have occurred there in the past. The public has demanded safety measures at the site to prevent further loss of precious lives.
