
KOHAT, June 21: About 100 children have been hospitalised owing to diarrhea epidemic in Kohat district during the last one month.
In-charge of the children’s ward of Liaqat Hospital, Dr Meher Ali said diarrhea had spread in the district due to hot weather.
Dr Meher Ali said, “Owing to dry spell in June, the diseases of loose motion and vomiting have affected children.”
Dr Meher Ali said parents must administer oral rehydration solution (ORS) and water to the children. But if the problem of vomiting is not controlled, then they must hospitalise their child, he said.
Dr Meher Ali said children must not be covered with woollen cloth when they are suffering from fever.
