BANNU, June 25: The Bacha Khan Trust Education Foundation has extended financial assistance to the internally displaced persons of North Waziristan tribal region.
The Foundation head, Dr Khadim Hussain, distributed 3,000 rupees to each displaced families in Mambai Barakzai, Norar and Mandio areas of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khadim Hussain said, “We stand by our brethren from North Waziristan in these trying times.
One of the beneficiaries of the financial assistance told TNN, “Three thousand rupees is enough, it will help us a lot. Had we this money, we would have hired vehicles to travel from North Waziristan to Bannu.”
