PESHAWAR, June 16: The Education Department of Fata Secretariat has announced summer vacations in all tribal agencies 14 days before the scheduled date.
The department says issued a notification to all the government and private schools, saying the educational institutions would remain closed for an indefinite period.
Summer vacations usually start in the region from 1 July and continue till 1 August. Analysts say the sudden vacations were announced in all agencies due to security threats.
However, Agency Education Officer, Mr Ateeq-ur-Rehman, said the schools were closed because of hot weather.
