JAMRUD, July 4: The Education Department of Khyber Agency has distributed cash prizes to high-achieving students in secondary school certificate examination. Several teachers were also rewarded.At a ceremony in Jamrud Jirga Hall, Principal of Hashim Abad School, Jamrud got first position and he was given 150,000 rupees prize to fulfill the religious ritual of Umrah.

About 116 high-achieving girls and boys were awarded cash prizes of rupees 20,000, 30,000, and 50,000.

On the occasion, Agency Education Officer Mr Ateequr Rehman told TNN that the prizes were commendation for the students.

“We provided cash prizes to 116 students; 105 of them got A-1 grade. We awarded the students so that they feel honoured,” he added.
