MANSEHRA/BISHAM, September 20: At least eight people including a child were killed and seven women were injured in two separate incidents at Mansehra and Shangala districts.
Mansehra police say some women were digging soil from a hill when a mudslide fell over them, and as a result four women and one child was buried alive. Seven women were retrieved from under the mudslide by local people and shifted to hospital at in Oghi tehsil.
In separate incident, three women have drowned in Shangla. Wife of Mr Jan Faroz fell into River Indus while washing hands and two other women tried to rescue her but they also drowned in the river.
Local sources say that a body has been recovered found while efforts were on to recover the other two bodies till filing of this report.
