Explosion Rocks Bannu: Security Officer Killed, 60 Injured

Following the explosion, all roads leading to Bannu Cantonment have been sealed, and all police stations have been placed on high alert.

A powerful explosion between a supply depot and a security tower on Kohati Road in Bannu resulted in the death of a security officer and injuries to 60 people. According to sources, the injured have been transported to the hospital, with most reported being stable.

The majority of injuries were caused by shattered glass from nearby shops and houses. Following the explosion, all roads leading to Bannu Cantonment have been sealed, and all police stations have been placed on high alert.

In response to the security concerns, the Bannu Judicial Complex has been closed, and fear and panic have spread throughout the city. An emergency has been declared in hospitals around the explosion site, and the administration has advised residents to stay indoors unless necessary.

It's worth noting that before this incident, the district administration had imposed Section 144 and special security measures for 14 days to maintain law and order during Muharram.
