The brutality of the proscribed militant group continues to escalate as they now reportedly kill innocent civilians for refusing to cook or provide food.
In the latest incident, militants gunned down a local resident, Umatullah Khan, in the Baka Khel area of Bannu after he refused to prepare dinner for them.
According to local sources, over a dozen armed militants stormed his house and demanded food. Upon his refusal, they killed him in cold blood.

Residents of the area say such incidents have become increasingly common. Militants allegedly enter homes daily, demanding food and threatening residents with violence or death if they refuse.
A similarly horrifying incident occurred recently in Khyber, where militants murdered the only brother of seven sisters allegedly for espionage along with two others including a newlywed man, just 15 days after his wedding.
Locals have expressed grave concern over the rising wave of violence and helplessness as these groups continue to operate with impunity, instilling fear in communities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
