Lakki Marwat: In the Abakhel area, a father allegedly killed his 32-year-old daughter with an axe in the Shiri Khel neighbourhood. Police have registered a murder case against the father on the complaint of the victim’s sister and launched an investigation.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 2am on September 9, when Mir Alam allegedly attacked his daughter, Naheed Akhtar, with an axe, killing her.

After being informed of the incident, the victim’s sister, Zeenat Bibi, wife of Noman, reached the scene and found Naheed Akhtar lying dead in a pool of blood.

The complainant told police that their father, Mir Alam, is allegedly addicted to drugs and had previously threatened to kill her sister. However, she said she did not know the reason behind the killing.

Police said the victim’s body was shifted to Government City Hospital, Lakki Marwat, for a post-mortem examination. A murder case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered at City Police Station under FIR No. 436/26, and further investigation is underway.
