KHAR/MINGORA, May 12: A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier died in Bajaur Agency and a policeman was shot dead in Swat district, administration and police officials say.
The Bajaur Levies personnel, accompanied by other security forces, were patrolling Katkot area in Mamond tehsil when they hit a roadside bomb. The security forces launched a search operation after the blast when another bomb exploded, killing Muhibullah Jan of the FC and injuring three others.
In separate incident, unidentified armed assailants shot dead a policeman in Swat district. The police say Mr Khaista Rahman of the Special Police Force died when a patrol party of the force was fired at in Shalao Dheri area of Shangla tehsil.
