TANK, April 29: The national electric company, WAPDA, and residents of Umar Adda area in Tank district have signed an agreement under which a close electricity feeder would be restarted and people will pay 500 rupees monthly bill each.
The agreement was signed during a jirga of Bhittani tribe at the office of executive engineer, WAPDA.
The district development committee chairman, Mr Muhammad Ahmad, told TNN that residents were facing a host of problems due to closure of Umar Adda feeder and that the problems would mount in the summer season.
The authorities closed the Umar Adda feeder two weeks ago because local residents were not paying the electricity bills.
