Buner: In a shocking incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Buner district, a local influential man allegedly shot and killed a female school teacher for rejecting his marriage proposal. The victim, Nargis, was a teacher at the government girls' primary school, Totalai, and had been previously harassed by the accused, Ataullah.
According to an FIR filed by the victim's father at Totalai Police Station, he was taking his daughter to school on Tuesday morning when a white car blocked their path at Lohar Sarai. Two armed men got out of the vehicle and opened fire on Nargis, killing her on the spot.
The father named the suspects as Amani Zeb and Abdul Rehman, both residents of Totalai, who fled the scene after abandoning their car. The FIR states that Nargis was unmarried, and Ataullah had repeatedly proposed to her, which she consistently rejected. Frustrated by her refusals, Ataullah allegedly harassed her and her family repeatedly.
