A spokesperson for Lady Reading Hospital has issued a clarification regarding the reported firing incident at the hospital.
According to spokesperson Mohammad Asim, certain reports circulating on social media are contrary to the facts.
He said that, based on initial information, a Class-IV employee deployed in the emergency department was changing his uniform in a restroom when a pistol accidentally went off.
The bullet struck a computer inside the ultrasound room; however, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
