
PESHAWAR, November 25: The Director of Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Dr Tahir Nadeem, has dismissed five Class-IV employees for not performing their duties in the provincial capital Peshawar.
Dr Tahir explained that he had expelled the workers stationed at Safaid Dheri as they refused to administer polio drops to the children and also because of their unsatisfactory performance.
The workers who have been sacked include a technician, a medical technician, a lady health visitor (LHV) and a midwife.
Meanwhile, another lady health worker has been terminated for not staying committed to her work and the authorities have also issued warning letter to a nutritionist in Peshawar.
