KOHAT/MARDAN, June 20: Five people were killed and six injured in separate incidents of firing in Kohat and Mardan districts.
The Kohat Police say that on 19 June, three people died and one injured in an armed clash between two groups due to a land dispute in Sheen Dhand area.
Mr Tajid Hussain and Mr Ziaullah from one group and Mr Taj Muhammad from the other died while one sustained injuries.
In separate incident in Sharifabad area of Mardan last night, some people opened fire during a Jirga that was under way to resolve a land dispute. As a result, Mr Ubaidullah and Mr Islam Shah died while four others were injured.
