WANA, May 7: A clash between two Taliban groups left five militants dead in South Waziristan Agency.
The administration officials say the incident took place in Shawal Wacha area.
Earlier, reports in the Pakistani media quoted a security official as saying that the fighting between the Shehryar Mehsud-led Hakimullah group and Waliur Rahman group of Khan Said, alias Sajna, left 12 militants dead. Seven gunmen of the Hakimullah group and five of Waliur Rahman group were killed in the May 6 clashes.
More than 40 militants have been killed in clashes between the militant groups in Waziristan region during the last two months.
Three killed in Hangu: Three people, including two brothers, were shot dead in Hangu district.
The police say two groups opened fire over a minor issue, killing two brothers Mr Musharraf and Mr Sajid from one group and Wisal from the other group.
