PESHAWAR, September 11: Five more polio cases have been reported in the country.
According to the National Institute of Health, two-year-old Jan Syed of Khyber Agency, 16-month old Hameed of North Waziristan, 15-month old Marwan of Bannu, one-year old Shaukatullah of Tank have been confirmed as polio victims. Another child has been affected by the crippling disease in Quetta, Balochistan province.
This year the number of polio cases has reached 143 in Pakistan, including 104 from the tribal areas while 25 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
