Twenty-three children and brothers of police martyrs in Lakki Marwat have been recruited as Police Assistant Sub-Inspectors (PASIs) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.

Appointment orders were handed over to the newly recruited personnel by Lakki Marwat District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada during a ceremony held at the DPO office.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada congratulated the recruits and expressed his best wishes for their future.

He said the sacrifices of police martyrs who gave their lives protecting the country and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens are unforgettable. He said the martyrs set examples of dedication, bravery and loyalty to the country that would always be remembered.

The DPO said it was the police department’s responsibility to ensure the welfare of martyrs’ families, particularly their children, and provide them employment opportunities in accordance with merit and rules.

He said the children of the martyrs were now following their parents’ footsteps by joining the police force, which was an honour for them and a source of pride for the entire police family.

Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada directed the newly recruited personnel to uphold the legacy of their martyred parents by performing their duties with honesty, dedication and a spirit of service, and to play their role in protecting the country and people, combating crime and preventing social evils.
