At least four militants have been killed in a security forces operation in the Hassan Khel area on the outskirts of provincial capital.
Sources said that a soldier was also injured in the operation which was carried out in Sharakera Kandao area of Hassan Khel sub-division.
They said that Tehrik Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters upon their returns had occupied an abandoned center of them in the area and drone fired two missiles on the place. Following the drone hit, militants and security forces exchange fire, which left four militants killed.
The drone flights caused panic in the area. In addition to this, Kandao high school was closed.
The residents of the area are complaining about sense of insecurity due to presence of militants in the area and acts of terrorism and demanded restoration of state writ through intelligence based operations.
