BISHAM, July 15: District Police Officer of Shangla, Mr Khalid Nasim, has suspended four policemen, including two sub-inspectors, in the abduction case of a female student and subsequent threats to the family.
The police say Mr Munawar Khan filed a report on 5 July, saying the four policemen kidnapped his young daughter with connivance of other accomplices and forcibly made her marry one of their friends.
After filing the FIR, the police started conducting raids and arrested one policeman on 14 July.
However, the girl who had been kidnapped told media that she had got married on her own will, while her father regretted her statement by saying that she was being pressured by the policemen.
