The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced a Digital Disaster Compensation Management System to make the provision of financial assistance to people affected by natural disasters faster, more transparent, and more efficient. Under the new system, the submission of compensation claims, verification, approval, and payment of financial assistance will all be managed through a single integrated digital platform.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the system aims to ensure timely financial support for disaster-affected individuals, improve transparency in compensation distribution, reduce human intervention, and expedite the processing of applications. It will also spare citizens from unnecessary paperwork and repeated visits to government offices.
PDMA stated that people affected by natural disasters can submit their compensation claims through the Digital Disaster Compensation Management System established at their respective Deputy Commissioner (DC) offices.

Once an application is received, the district administration will verify the reported damages in accordance with the prescribed procedure. Eligible applicants will then receive financial assistance under the government's compensation policy.
The Director General of PDMA said the modern system is part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's citizen-centric initiatives. It is designed to ensure timely and fair financial assistance for families affected by natural disasters while promoting transparency, accountability, and convenience in the disaster compensation process.
PDMA has urged the public to contact their respective Deputy Commissioner offices in the event of a natural disaster to submit compensation claims. Applicants are advised to provide accurate information along with the required documents so that their applications can be processed promptly and financial assistance can be disbursed without delay.
