Abbottabad: A tragic incident occurred last night near Sethi Mosque, where a police officer was killed, and two others were injured when an unknown assailant opened fire on a Police Riders Squad.
According to sources, the incident happened during a routine patrol by officers from Sikandarabad Police Station. The police had stopped a suspicious individual who suddenly opened fire, resulting in the death of one officer and leaving two others critically wounded.
District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad stated that the injured officers were immediately transferred to Ayub Medical Complex, where one of them, identified as Shahzaib, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Policeman Abducted in Bannu
Meanwhile, another concerning incident occurred in Bannu, where armed men kidnapped a police officer. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sakhi Zaman was abducted from Circular Road while he was on his way to duty from his home. The abducted ASI is a resident of Ghavi Wala, a locality in Bannu.
Authorities are investigating both incidents and have launched search operations to apprehend the suspects involved.
