PESHAWAR, October 9: The Hajj flights have started arriving at the Bacha Khan International Airport in the provincial capital.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, three flights from Jeddah and Madina would land at the airport today. The authorities have deployed additional contingents of the police and Airport Security Forces at the airport.

The aviation authorities say those welcoming the pilgrims would not be allowed to enter the airport but would just be able to accompany them at the Peshawar Sports Complex.

About 143,000 people have offered Hajj this year. Of them, 56,000 people had gone for Hajj under the government scheme while others used the services of private tour operators. The Hajj flights would continue arriving in Peshawar till 7 November.
