Hazara were crowned champions of the Zalmi Women’s Cricket League Season Two after defeating Peshawar All Stars by seven wickets in the final held at Hayatabad Sports Complex.

Batting first, Peshawar All Stars posted 59 runs for the loss of three wickets. In return, Hazara comfortably chased down the target, reaching 60 for three. Mah Noor Qayoom played a pivotal role in the win with a superb 28-run knock.

The second season of the Zalmi Women’s Cricket League was organised in Peshawar by Peshawar Zalmi and the Zalmi Foundation, in collaboration with Ufone, UN Women, and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Following the success of Season One, the second edition also concluded on a high note.

Prominent personalities present at the final included Zalmi superstar Mohammad Haris, Pakistan Test cricketer Sajid Khan, UN Women Pakistan Deputy Country Representative Jacky Keetonati, UNFPA’s Dr. Luay Shabaneh, Sports Secretary Tashfeen, Education Secretary Kamran Afridi, and Peshawar Zalmi COO Mian Abbas Laik.

Earlier, in the first semi-final, Hazara Daffodils defeated Peshawar Thunder Bolts by 23 runs after setting a target of 77 without losing a wicket, while Peshawar managed 54 for three. In the second semi-final, Peshawar All Stars overcame Malakand to secure their spot in the final.
